I am currently in the process of reading the book, “The Traveler’s Gift”, by Andy Andrews.  It is fiction, based on the journey a man who is down and out on his luck.  In an instant, he skids on ice, hits an oak tree, and while in a coma he meets seven (7) historical figures that share with him the seven (7) secrets to happiness and success.  The first meeting is with Harry Truman and the first lesson is, “the buck stops here”.   President Truman shares that a person must take responsibility for the decisions that are made in their life, stop passing the buck and cannot blame anyone or anything for the ‘cards they have been dealt’.  Where a person is in life is the result of the decision that they alone made.  Be accountable and take ownership of all decisions made.
